of mental and emotional functions in social field, such as emotion and
empathy, communication and language production and comprehension,
consciousness and agency, action representation, neuroeconomics, as
well as psychopathological contexts, are the core topics of the
research group. The main activities are those dealing with research
projects focused on the study of the mind and on the relationships
between cognitive processes, social contexts and neural networks. The
research receives contributions from different disciplines
(neuroscience, psychophysiology, neuropsychology, psychology, social
sciences) which study the relationship between mind and brain.
Neuroscience and psychophysiology provide the main theoretical and
methodological framework for the analysis of these topics. Specific
skills are devoted to the application of neuroscientific techniques,
such as electrophysiology (EEG, ERPs; LORETA);
neurostimulation/neuromodulation (TMS; tES); neuroimaging (fNIRS);
autonomic measures (SCR; ECG); eyetracking.
