Research line: Emotional behavior & empathy

Emotions strongly impact individuals' life and are therefore investigated by neuroscience, by studying the cerebral cognitive and physiological systems underlying different emotional states during social interactions. Neuroscience helps revealing the different components and dimensions of emotions, by applying self-report, behavioral and several different neuroscientific techniques. At the moment, we are conducting research to reveal the different components and dimensions of emotions, the neural and autonomic correlates involved in different emotional states, the emotional resonance and mirroring mechanisms.
